Museums, share your activities of International Museum Day on an interactive map!

Thanks to a partnership between the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and Semantika, a streamlined and user-friendly platform is now available for museums to register and promote their activities and celebrations of International Museum Day on an interactive map.

Museums, promote your International Museum Day activities on a world map.

–    Create an account on http://imd.museu.ms  or log in with your existing Museums.EU or Museu.ms accounts.
–    Find your museum or add information on your museum if it is not yet there.
–    Choose events or exhibitions and fill out details.
–    Tag it “IMD2015” to have it figured on the International Museum Day map.
–    You will receive a notification when the entry is approved.
–    Share your event and go viral! Don’t forget to tag #MuseumDay or mention ICOM on social media.

Together, celebrate International Museum Day around the theme “Museums for a sustainable society” on and around 18 May, 2015.

Throughout the preparation of International Museum Day and during the celebration, a selection of activities will be shared daily on International Museum Day’s Facebook page and on ICOM’s Twitter feed.
